Gareth’s first bus tour was a good success despite a hiccup or two.
Our visit to the McLaren Vale food and wine festival went well with over thirty aboard the bus.
We commenced the day with a zigzag route to pick up passengers, then proceeded to Maclaren Vale arriving at the Coriole winery at around 11 AM. There we enjoyed a jazz band and enjoyed some welcome sunshine while chatting in their lovely grounds.
Our next stop at Tatachilla winery was perhaps a bit less enjoyable but ever-popular band Lucifer’s Lounge brightened up the proceedings.
From there we moved on to the wonderful Wirra Wirra winery where a six-piece band Silverhair were livening things up to a fever pitch. So much so that we delayed our departure until they had finished playing at 5 PM.
The only real problem was a person who became exceedingly drunk. On that occasion he was allowed to re-board the bus, but future tours will be conducted on the strict basis that people who become unreasonably intoxicated will have to find another way to get home.
The safety, security and comfort of other passengers cannot be compromised.
